Recipes with Lebanese Olive Oil

While Lebanese olive oil is wonderfull on its own as a simple dip for breads and when used in salads, here are a few links to classic traditional Lebanese recipes using olive oil:

Hommus -- Hommus is a dip made of mashed chickpeas with olive oil, sesame tahini, and lemon juice. It is popular all over the Middle East and is traditionally scooped up with flatbread pita to be eaten as a mezze.  Extra olive oil is usually drizzled over the hommus before serving.

Baba Ghannouj -- An appetizer dip, baba ghannouj is an eggplant based dish with sesame tahini, lemon juice and garlic.  Extra virgin olive oil is drizzeled over the dish prior to serving.
