SRI International has worked collaboratively with its Lebanese partners, the Social and Cultural Development Association (INMA) and Lebanese olive oil producers, to create the LebaneseOliveOil.com  website, under the sponsorship of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). 

The purpose of the website is twofold:

• Provide potential buyers with useful information about Lebanese olive oils, and
• Provide information and resources for Lebanese entities interested in improving their operations, investing in the olive oil sector, etc.

It is hoped that this website can serve as a central collection site of information and tools for the Lebanese olive oil industry.

This website is part of a broader USAID project to expand economic opportunities for people living in rural areas of Lebanon.  The project targets the development of three industry clusters:  tourism, agribusiness, and information and computer technology.  By helping to increase employment and income opportunities for people, the project aims to increase the quality of life and living standards in Lebanon’s rural areas.
